Just downloaded and used the amazing slowdowner for the first time last night. The sound quality was much better than using the Rolls thingy. I still used the K10 since I can mix stereo RCA and 1/4" from the keys down to a mono signal - but I kept the level real low and ran the mix out to the IEM's, which I had cranked in my head. But last night, since the kids were asleep, I ran it all into my wireless IEM system. I had been just running CD audio through the stereo, and Keyboards through my K10. I set the laptop on the fireplace mantle which puts it right in front of me about 8" above my top tier. But according to Spotify, third party apps will not any longer have access to streaming. Note: Although we have never officially supported playback of Spotify audio, it nevertheless has worked very good. Now that I'm back in my house, lately I've been setting up to practice in the living room right in front of the fireplace, facing the TV and stereo. Outstanding sound quality 'Amazing Slow Downer' is the ideal tool for any musician, transcriber or dancer wanting to improve their skills. I still use it occasionally, but the sound quality on it is crap.įor audio source, I've used either my iPad or my work laptop. It has stereo RCA ins, 2 1/4" ins, and an XLR in. Whether running through an active monitor or headphones, I used a Rolls personal monitor thing that is powered by 9V battery. Going through the divorce, when I moved out, I had to improvise. But once it was set up, I had excellent sound quality, everything I needed in my computer, additional gear if I needed to sample something, etc. Schlepping my live rig up to the 3rd floor and setting it up took so much time and effort that it wasn't worth doing unless I had significant time to spend practicing. The best AND worst was when my studio was on the 3rd floor. I've gone through lots of different practice setups.
